Professional translations in written form in English, Italian, French, and German (occasionally Modern Greek)

My Qualifications

I have absolved a master study for English and Italian at the Leopold-Franzens-University of Innsbruck.

Furthermore, I have the command of French (A2 level). I have personally acquired Modern Greek for everyday situations (A2 level), and in the meanwhile, I have attended several language courses in Athens.

A six-month ERASMUS term in Milan including practical experience in an Italian private school, one term of social work practice in a language institute in Florence and different stays abroad lasting several weeks in Italy, England, and Greece firm up my virtual language skills.

My completed formation to become a school teacher with the achievement of the academic title Bachelor of Education in the College of Education in Innsbruck with distinction underlines my proficiency in my German mother tongue.

My Practical Experience

From 1997 to 2005, next to my studies at university, I have carried out freelance translation activities (technical, medical, chemical, juridical, and general texts).

In 2005, I established my translation office and since then, next to several stays abroad, among others, I have predominantly been translating for tax consultants, car, dispatch, mineral water, electrical installation, and textile companies, Grander and Sandoz limited liability corporations, renowned British and American agencies, and private customers as a self-employed translator and have been gaining experience and skills in translating technical, medical, and chemical texts in various fields for already 19 years now.

Also as an interpreter for car companies and tax consultants (attendance of company heads at meetings with English speaking clients, expositions, etc.) I have been able to use my language skills in order to establish ties.

Equally, I have been a trainer of several language training courses at companies and institutes (e.g. English crash and advanced Italian courses), and through my previous educational formation (teaching degree and integration, achieving the Bachelor of Education) and additional five years of practical experience, I’m naturally apt and prepared to be a good trainer concerning various language courses and trainings. Currently, I'm attending the courses to achieve the title of Wine Academic and the WSET Diploma in Wines and Spirits at the Austrian Wine Academy in Rust/Burgenland.
